About me

Hello, my name is Cameron and I am a Maths graduate from the Uni of Oxford.
I have been tutoring Maths for over 4 years now. Not having had a tutor growing up, but working closely with incredible tutors during University, I realised that much insight and creative ways of visualising results had been missed. Soon after I began to tutor myself and aimed to pass the general maths techniques my tutors taught to me onto my students. These techniques include reasoning from first principles, understanding the motivations for abstract maths objects (like vectors and matrices) and thinking about concepts as pictures. It turns out that knowing the deeper reasons behind the calculations we are doing makes maths feel a lot more intuitive and enjoyable! At A-level, I studied Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics obtaining 4 A*s. The levels of Math I teach range from GCSE and A-level to University admissions tests.
Other important factors contributing to a student’s success include time management, work-life balance, revision techniques and exam techniques. These are essential skills to master to achieve competitive results, thus if necessary, we may discuss these at length.
