Hi, I’m Lisa! I’m 30 years old and close to finishing my PhD in Education at the University of Cambridge, where I also completed a Master’s degree in 2017, with distinction. I further hold a BA and MA in English language and literature, which I finished in 2013 and 2015, respectively, also with distinction. My doctoral studies at Cambridge are fully funded by the UK Arts & Humanities Research Council and Churchill College.

I am a certified EFL/ESL teacher and academic writing coach, and I have previously worked as a university lecturer and tutor. During my career, I have studied, worked, and researched at various educational institutions across Europe and have also held a fellowship at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. Through these experiences I have gained important intercultural knowledge and an international outlook.

I am multilingual, having native competency in English and German, and a basic understanding of Italian and Dutch. I grew up in Austria, spent the past five years living in the UK, and have recently relocated to Amsterdam.

I am passionate about education, literature, culture, history, photography, and web design, and enjoy reading and learning about all kinds of topics, from AI to zoology!
