MEng Mechanical Engineering
About me
Hi, I'm William; I’m from London, England and I've recently graduated from the University of Cambridge with an MEng in Mechanical Engineering. My master's thesis was on the Vibrational Properties of Superconducting Magnetic Bearings, so I'm confident with teaching Maths and Physics to a high level. Prior to attending Cambridge, I achieved 4 A*s at A level and 12 A*s at GCSE.
I have interned at an international engineering consultancy and worked as a ball boy at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships, as well as gaining experience working with children by volunteering at a summer playscheme.
I think that the value of tutoring lies in enabling the tutor to choose an approach that suits each student, and to go as quickly or slowly as the student needs. I am enthusiastic about helping students gain understanding and confidence and I know what it takes to turn that into exam success.
In my spare time, I play cricket and badminton and I am captain and coach of my college's football team. I am also a keen musician with grade 8 in piano, trumpet and singing and I am currently dabbling in a spot of guitar, albeit with limited success. As well as being a native English speaker, I have a good level of French.
