About me

I have recently graduated with a high 2:1 in English literature from Oxford University. In my A-Levels I achieved A* in English literature, A* in geography, A* in the Extended Project Qualification and A in History. I have been tutoring for the last two years with Tutor Impact and the Coronavirus Tutoring initiative (which was set up to reduce educational inequality during the pandemic).

With CTI, I have volunteered my time to teach A Level and GCSE students English literature to help them prepare for their examinations. The position enabled me to personalise the teaching for each individual student; to ensure that they understood each concept and could build upon topics that they were most interested in. In my spare time, I enjoy athletics and sailing and have competed in both sports at regional and national levels. I have also previously worked with young people when I volunteered in my local community as an assistant running coach for athletes from the age of 8 to 15. Within this position I organised training schedules for athletes and assisted with the weekly sessions. My previous experiences of tutoring and coaching conveys that I have a genuine passion in encouraging the students that I am working with to achieve their best.
