About me

Hello everyone!
My name is Frances, and I am British. I have just graduated with a joint master’s degree in European literature from the University of Strasbourg and the University of Bologna. Before that I graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA in English literature in 2019.

I love teaching and have a variety of experience, from spending a semester teaching English to 7- to 11-year-olds at a Spanish school during my gap year, to working as a counsellor at a summer school in Cambridge, where I lead workshops on personal statement writing, interview skills and English literature, helping prepare our students for Oxbridge and Russell Group universities. I would love to help your child develop soft skills which are so important for a well-rounded education, allowing them to gain confidence and flourish in their academic studies also.

I have a passion for learning new languages – I speak French (C2 CERF level), Italian (C2) and Spanish (B2), and I have improved my fluency through studying and working abroad. I also love music - I play the violin and have had an amazing time participating in the Cambridge University Concert Orchestra, and the Strasbourg University Orchestra. My favourite ways to relax are cooking and eating with friends and family, and going on long walks with my dog.

I look forward to meeting you!
