About me

Hello! My name is Louise and I have lived in the UK for my entire life but I love to travel and experience new cultures. I studied law at Trinity College, University of Cambridge and achieved a first-class degree as well as finishing in the top five students in my year and receiving various academic prizes from college and university. I was also invited to be a research assistant for a Professor of Private International Law at Cambridge so have helped complete a research project which is due to be published this year.

I hope you can see that I have always loved learning but I also want to tell you how I have transferred this into a love of teaching. In secondary school, I tutored various subjects such as maths, physics and English and whilst at university, I became a tutor for TalentKids where I taught English and practised assessment skills with children in China via webcam. Since graduating, I have continued this tutoring and extended my love of teaching by doing a placement with Oxbridge Summer Camps Abroad teaching English in China and Hong Kong to children aged 8-18. This involved designing my own lesson plans as well as modifying them for various abilities and helping children prepare for exams. I am also currently taking lessons in Spanish in my spare time so I know what it is like to be the student too!

Throughout my life so far, I have found soft skills very important to my success. People Impact have an amazing programme for training these skills and I hope you can see that I will be a great person to teach you them!
