BA Biological Natural Science/ Ecology
About me
I am a recent graduate from the University of Cambridge, where I studied Biological Natural Sciences - and specialised in Zoology. Alongside my science degree, I am passionate about Filmmaking! Throughout university I have been involved with the UK’s largest international student Film Festival - Watersprite - originally working in Partnerships in 2020 before taking on the role of Festival Director for 2021. This leadership role involved managing over 60 students.
In my first year I studied a range of different subjects: Maths, Chemistry, Molecular Biology and Ecology. This allows me to engage in a variety of STEM subjects in tutoring roles. My favourite tutoring experience took place in Costa Rica, where I created “school days” for three home-schooled children (aged 11 – 16). Being in a remote rainforest location had endless distractions, and I had to develop techniques to help maintain focus during lessons and ensure that learning was fun!
Overall, I have 3+ years of tutoring and 5+ years of childcare experience. I am DBS checked.
I am British, and fluent in English. I am LAMDA trained in Public Speaking, to grade 8 with distinction. I look forward to sharing knowledge with others in fun and engaging lessons!
