BSc Maths & Physics

About me

Hello, my name is Adam, I am a 3rd year Maths and Physics student at the University of Saint Andrews, the UK’s top university. I am projected to graduate with a 1st class honours and my academic history includes 3 A*s in A-level Maths, Physics and Further Maths along with grade 9’s (A**) in GCSE Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

I have been tutoring for over 4 years achieving incredible results with some of my students attaining grades several levels above what they were working at beforehand. My lessons focus on engagement, understanding and developing confidence. Studying Maths and Physics is difficult, it requires understanding and applying sometimes unintuitive concepts to an array of challenging problems. This is why my lessons put the student at the centre, if they aren’t actively engaging in the content then they aren’t learning in the most effective way.

My teaching not only benefits from my years of experience in the subject but from my excellent communication skills I developed with my time at school. I have been a London Debate Championship Semi-Finalist, Head Boy, ran and taught my schools maths club and I am now President on my university chess society.
