BA Human, Social and Political Sciences
About me
I am from Clitheroe in the North West of England and have recently graduated from the University of Cambridge with a high 2:1 in Human, Social and Political Sciences, majoring in History and Politics. Currently, I am training as a teacher in London whilst working as a primary school learning support assistant. Alongside my studies, I worked as a teaching assistant, providing one-to-one and group-based support for children between the ages of 7 and 16. Encouraging each child’s educational, personal and social development was highly rewarding- such experiences committed me to a career in education!
Having achieved 1A* and 4As at A Level, 2 additional As at AS Level and 11A*s at GCSE, I am academically well-placed to tutor a variety of subjects to a high standard. As a trainer with Tutor Impact, I am particularly motivated to encourage the development of transferable life skills, alongside improvements in academic performance.
Outside of academia I am a keen musician, aspiring to study a Music Therapy MA. I have studied the clarinet to grade 8, held the position of solo clarinettist with Lancashire’s county concert band, and also sing regularly in various choirs.
I look forward to working with your child and helping them reach their full potential!
