BA History of Art
About me
Hello! My name is Olivia and I am from Cambridge, UK, so English is my native language.
I graduated from Oxford University in 2018 with first-class honours in History of Art. During my time at university I was awarded an academic scholarship as well as a Krasis Scholarship from the Ashmolean Museum.
After graduating I was awarded The Courtauld Scholarship to study MA medieval art and architecture at the Courtauld Institute of Art. I achieved a distinction. Following my MA, I undertook the PGDL (law conversion course) and was awarded a distinction, averaging 80.75%.
I have work experience in the commercial art world, as well as at solicitors firms. I have been offered a training contract by Magic Circle law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, commencing August 2022.
I have previous experience in tutoring a primary school student through his grammar school entrance exams (verbal and non-verbal reasoning) and SATs. I also mentored a state educated student on their successful application to study History at Magdalen College, Oxford.
My approach to tutoring is encouraging, engaging and personalised. I understand the importance of getting to know my students, in order to understand the ways in which they work best, as well as their strengths and weaknesses. By understanding the end goal for my students, I tailor my tutoring approach to their success.
Looking forward to meeting you!
